Dr Bronwyn Lovell is a poet, essayist, and scholar researching the roles of women in science fiction space narratives. Her poetry has featured in Best Australian Poems, Meanjin, Southerly, Cordite, and other journals. She has won the Val Vallis Award and been shortlisted for the Judith Wright, Fair Australia, Newcastle, Bridport, and Montreal poetry prizes. Her poetry collection, In Bed with Animals, is published by Recent Work Press, and her science-fiction verse novel, Between Worlds, is forthcoming from the University of Western Australia Publishing.
