Dr Alison Gill is the Director of Academic Program of Design in the School of Humanities and Communication Arts, Western Sydney University. Alison’s research fields are design philosophy, cultural theory, and socio-material studies, with publications about social design practices of reuse and repair, alternative conceptions of use and visual narratives; sport shoes and advertising; deconstruction fashion; audience/user practices; and sustainable design education. a.gill@westernsydney.edu.au
