Sabine Pagan is a lecturer in Object Design in the School of Creative Arts and Media at the University of Tasmania. Prior to this role, she worked as an academic leading the Bachelor of Arts (Jewellery) (2004-2013) and the Master of Arts Practice program (2011-2013) at Charles Sturt University before joining ANU as a project manager in the People & Wellbeing team (2017-2021). A professional contemporary jeweller, Pagan studio practice spans interdisciplinary projects, collaborations and curation. Drawing from her PhD in Architecture), her ongoing interdisciplinary research examines the factor conditions necessary for objects and environments to prompt greater sensorial and spatial awareness, impacting the way we experience the world and shape our memories. Pagan is currently co-consultant to the National Contemporary Jewellery Award and Collection, Griffith Regional Gallery (NSW).
