Xue Li, a Chinese artist, holds a master’s degree from Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, one of the top art academies in China. She has assumed the roles of a university educator and an artist for over a decade. Currently pursuing a PhD in visual arts at Edith Cowan University. Her artistic endeavours have been showcased in both individual and collective exhibitions including the United States, France, Korea, and China. Xue’s creative practice manifests an amalgamation of Western Feminist artists’ methodologies with the recontextualization of established Chinese art conventions. Her works encompass a diverse range of themes, encompassing pure form, representations of women, landscapes, internal emotions, and personal experiences, all scrutinized through the lens of feminist perspectives on Chinese art history and contemporary women artists.
