Dr Leigh-Anne Hepburn is Head of Design at The Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning. She is a design researcher with a focus on design-enabled collaboration to inform and influence meaningful change. Her research explores participatory and socially-driven innovation at the intersections of industry, academia and community, co-designing new models of transdisciplinary practice and collaborative learning. She has a particular interest in the future of design education. With extensive experience across industry and academia, Leigh-Anne has taught at community, corporate, undergraduate and postgraduate levels and presented her research globally. Previously part of the Digital Health and Care Institute in Scotland, Leigh-Anne has delivered international co-design and participatory projects in areas such as mental health, chronic pain, women’s health, and consent education.
